Part 1 · The Future
Open question

Europe 2029.

What changes in our industry over the next three years?

01
Internationalisation
Customers buy across borders — vendors and partners must follow.
02
Scarcity of capacity
Implementation skill — not software — becomes the constraint.
03
Artificial Intelligence
Gartner: $2.6T AI spend in 2026 (+47% YoY). Ultimo invests >50% of dev hours in AI. Silicon Valley shifts to "Physical AI".
04
Operational Excellence
Regulation, energy cost, Asian competition and labour shortage force European plants to do more with less.
05
Platform consolidation
Autodesk acquires MaintainX. AVEVA acquires TwinThread. The EAM market is consolidating fast.

The evolution of Asset Management.

Every stage builds on the previous one.
We start with Ultimo — the journey doesn't stop there.

Where, when and why to act.
3
APM
Asset Performance Management.
4
AI Assisted
Decision support, copilots, agents.

Part 1 · The Future
Aerial top-down view of a dam holding back a vast reservoir, with one thin mint stream flowing out
The bottleneck

A reservoir of investment.
A trickle of execution.

Behind the dam
Years of investment

Decades of R&D, software, licenses, data, platforms and AI — billions invested in technology that's ready to create value.

Through the gate
Implementation power

One thin stream of people who can actually land it on the shop floor. That stream decides the pace of the entire industry.

The constraint isn't the technology. It's how fast we can put it to work.

Why an Alliance?

A customer in 2029 expects:

One
approach
Multiple
countries
Local
language
Same
quality
Continuous
innovation

None of us can do this alone.

Implementation Vision — Proven Methodology.

Step 1 · Template
1
Template development & kick-off
Define standard templates, configure Ultimo, align scope and planning.
Step 2 · Site roll-out
2
Asset structure
Set up the asset hierarchy, locations and classification. Import or build registers.
Step 3 · Site roll-out
3
Maintenance processes
Work order flows, approval, scheduling rules, integration with business systems.
Step 4 · Site roll-out
4
Preventive maintenance plans
PM strategies based on criticality, regulations and manufacturer guidelines.
Step 5 · Site roll-out
5
Warehouse & spare parts
Warehouse setup, spare-parts catalogs, min/max stock, supplier links.
Step 6 · Site roll-out
6
Training & go live
End-user training, super-user coaching, go-live support and hypercare.
Step 1 · Template
Steps 2–6 · Site roll-out
Ultimo Configuration
0.5 – 1.0 × ARR
The more process flows and integrations, the higher the factor. A basic setup with standard workflows sits at 0.5×; complex multi-site configurations with deep ERP integrations move toward 1.0×.
Asset & Maintenance Data
0.5 – 1.5 × ARR
Depends on current data maturity. Well-structured data in an existing system (migration) keeps the factor low. Data in Excel or requiring as-built surveys raises it. Same applies to maintenance plans — structured migrations beat building from scratch.

In the Netherlands, capacity was the primary driver of our growth. With the expansion into the European market and AI technology, sales has become our critical bottleneck. Quotation approval volume is our key success parameter for DACH and EU.
